I had a wonderful experience at Princeton Castle Resort! The cabin was clean and comfortable, perfect for a peaceful getaway, and the surrounding area was gorgeous with autumn colors. However, the check-in process was a bit inconvenient as we had to wait, and while the facilities were unique, some areas felt outdated. Overall, it was a great value for money, especially considering the serene environment.

Rooms

The cabin we stayed in was spacious and clean, equipped with a kitchen and a comfortable king-size bed. We upgraded to a medium-sized cabin which had two bedrooms and a living room, enhancing our privacy.
Service

The owner was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, ensuring our needs were met even though we arrived during the off-season.
Location
8.0
The resort is beautifully located next to a stream and the ruins of an old cement factory, offering a unique charm and easy access to nature walks.
Dining
7.0
There was no on-site dining, but the kitchen in our cabin allowed us to cook our own meals, which was convenient.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities included a small lake for activities and scenic walking trails, but the pool looked like it hadn't been maintained recently.

5.0/10

The resort has a fantastic location with scenic ruins and wildlife, but the service and maintenance fall short. The rooms lack proper facilities and comfort, and many amenities require extra charges, leaving a disappointing impression for a supposedly luxurious getaway.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was cramped and poorly maintained, with a pull-out couch that was broken and uncomfortable. It felt like a bad garage sale find instead of a well-furnished chalet.
Service
5.0
The service was lacking; the staff seemed indifferent to our concerns, and there was a clear inconsistency in hospitality, especially during the busy holiday weekend.
Location
8.0
The resort is located next to the beautiful ruins of a castle, and the forest around it offers a lovely natural setting, but the area felt neglected.
Dining
Facilities

Facilities were in poor condition; the playground for kids looked unsafe, and access to the lake was disappointing due to its green appearance and maintenance issues.

My stay at this resort was quite a mixed bag. The location is truly stunning, surrounded by mountains and offering plenty of outdoor activities. However, while the room was comfortable, there were issues with cleanliness and upkeep around the property. The service also had its ups and downs, as we received assistance but experienced some delays. Overall, it's decent for the price but expect some quirks.

Our lodge room was comfortable with unique decor, but we faced a few issues like a noisy fridge and missing towels at check-in.

The resort has potential with its clean cabins and serene environment, but it falls short in several areas. The cabins provide a comfortable stay, yet the amenities like the play area and lake facilities could definitely use some improvement. Additionally, some aspects of the service and overall maintenance are lacking, which detracts from the overall experience.

Rooms
7.0
The cabins were clean and quiet, matching the online descriptions. However, the water pressure in the shower was disappointing, with hardly any flow.
Service
5.0
Service could be improved; housekeeping was not consistent and I had to track someone down for basic needs.
Location
6.0
The cabins are nestled in a beautiful area with wildlife around, but the walk to the lake was longer than expected, and the creek view was obstructed by trees.
Dining
Facilities
5.0
While the resort is clean, the play area looked abandoned and the lake facilities need better upkeep. Some options like games and boats were not well-maintained.

5.2/10

The resort has a stunning location near the castle ruins with a rustic charm and some interesting wildlife like llamas and peacocks wandering around. However, the overall condition of the resort leaves much to be desired, with several maintenance issues and lackluster customer service that dampens the experience. Although the accommodations are rather basic, the outdoor space is pleasant for nature lovers.

Rooms
6.0
The accommodations were comfortable, featuring basic amenities like a microwave and fridge, but there were signs of wear and tear.
Service
5.0
The service was not ideal; there seemed to be a lack of attentiveness, especially during the busy long weekend.
Location
9.0
The resort's location is exceptional, right beside the ruins of the castle and close to the small lake, which offers a peaceful escape from the city.
Dining
5.0
There is no food service onsite, which is a downside, forcing guests to travel to Princeton for meals.
Facilities
5.0
While the rustic outdoor area is appealing, the facilities were poorly maintained, with issues like exposed wiring.
